Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose a member category?

It’s easy! The CBA member categories are broken down as follows:

  • Associate members are all non-builder members
  • Builder memberships are Developers, Remodelers, and Builders that build Single Family, Custom, Spec, Multi-Family, Commercial, Barndominiums, Restoration or Metal Buildings.

I'm not a builder or remodeler, why should I join?

The CBA, TAB & NAHB works hard to provide resources for residential builders, remodelers, developers, vendors and trades. These resources include industry-specific education and certification opportunities, the monitoring of legislative policy regulations, affordable insurance, committees and networking opportunities throughout the year. Each of these offers a chance to make connections and grow your business.

The CBA is designed to help all companies involved in residential construction to better contend with industry challenges through collective action. We believe in building a strong and profitable building industry for the Crossroads area members and customers. As a part of the Crossroads building industry, we trust that you are also concerned with the same basic business objectives that confront our industry.

What about my employees? Do they each need a membership?

We encourage all employees to get involved – this is the best way to get the most from your CBA membership. When a company joins the CBA, only the main contact is listed on the website and in the printed directory. Employees can also be listed by joining the CBA as Affiliate Members.

What is an Affiliate member?

The Affiliate Membership is available to employees of companies that are members of the CBA. This membership includes a listing on the CBA website and in the CBA annual printed Membership Directory. The Affiliate membership also includes being on the email list to receive important information from the CBA.
